These are Nepal's first elections since Gen Z protests in September 2025 forced PM KP Sharma Oli to resign after a crackdown killed 77 people. The RSP, led by former rapper and Kathmandu mayor Balendra Shah, is heading toward a commanding win. Over 800,000 first-time voters participated. Complete final results including proportional-representation seats are expected within one week.
